Getting the donation boxes ready for some very generous local businesses!

Last year the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to coordinate a new hat, mitten and sock drive for the Community Child Guidance Clinic (CCGC) located in Manchester. In just a short amount of time, mostly by word of mouth, the event collected over 1000 pieces for the children. This was definitely considered an important and successful event, and the clients were still able to access these donations as recently as this fall. Being the newest committee of the Tolland County Chamber, the Moving Forward group felt this was a great idea to build upon. We want to get the business community involved this year by placing drop boxes at their location to accept donations. We would like to have at least 20 boxes in the area. We hope to bring in more donations than last year, so we are also going to be donating the collected items to KIDSAFE, Community Health Resources as well as CCGC again. Our collection drive will culminate with a collection receiving/ networking event hosted again this year by Georgina’s Restaurant and Banquets in Bolton Tuesday January 5th 2016.

If you have a business that would like to participate in the collection drive, please contact us so we can arrange a box to be dropped off at your location. All boxes will be picked up on Monday January 4th.
